The Olusegun Oke Library at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has experienced a remarkable era under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Adefunke Sarah Ebijuwa, the University Librarian. In just a few months, Dr. Ebijuwa’s visionary approach has ushered in groundbreaking changes that cement the library's reputation as a hub of innovation and academic excellence. Since assuming office, Dr. Ebijuwa has focused on elevating the library's relevance in the digital age while honoring its rich legacy. With the launch of BIBLIOTHECA: International Journal of Library and Information Science, the library now serves as a global platform for academic discourse. The Executive Committee (EXCO) of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Oyo State Chapter, along with the Host, the University Librarian, and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the 2024 NLA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Conference, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Host, the Vice-Chancellor. 

On Thursday, September 21, 2024, the University of Ibadan hosted the 561st inaugural lecture, presented by Professor Ayodeji Omole from the Department of Forest Production and Products. The event, held at Trenchard Hall, was attended by esteemed guests, including high-ranking government officials from Oyo State and members of the management team from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). Professor Omole, who is currently the pro-chancellor and chairman of Council at LAUTEH, shared insights into his intellectual journey, exploring the complexities of academic life and the metaphorical “shadows of death” that many scholars navigate.
